The NDI function of SLAM XCAM has been fully debugged. It now supports live streaming and push streaming of 4K 30fps VR 3D footage, with a measured latency of approximately 200ms. This means SLAM XCAM is not only capable of capturing high-quality VR180 3D content, but also well-suited for low-latency, real-time, professional-grade 3D live streaming scenarios.
Compared with traditional 2D live streaming, the greatest value of VR 3D live streaming lies in its "sense of space" and "sense of presence". Instead of merely watching a flat image, audiences can step into a stereoscopic perspective closer to a real scene via VR devices, and perceive genuine changes in distance, depth, environmental relations and human movements.
