1. Bug Overview
A small number of older 128GB SLAM XCAM cameras may experience an occasional and temporary issue of abnormal storage usage growth. Under normal operating conditions — with all local data and media files deleted, only a few basic applications retained, and the device merely used for routine recording — a very limited number of devices may show unexpectedly high system storage occupancy with unidentified temporary storage occupation. This is a low-probability, occasional system anomaly occurring after long-term device operation. The storage data previously reported by users only serves as an individual case reference. It is not a common device failure and will not damage the device hardware or affect core functions.
2. Root Cause
This occasional abnormality stems from a temporary system operation mechanism. When older SLAM XCAM cameras run continuously for a long time, system cache, temporary files and system logs may fail to be cleared automatically in rare cases, resulting in the temporary accumulation and abnormal occupation of storage space. This is a sporadic runtime issue rather than a hardware defect or inherent system program flaw.
3. Bug Solution
Factory reset can be performed to quickly restore the normal storage status of the device and release the temporarily occupied storage space caused by this occasional anomaly.
3.1 Pre-operation Notes
A factory reset is a system reset operation that will erase all data, installed applications and personalized settings on the camera. Please fully back up all important data in advance to avoid data loss.
3.2 Detailed Operation Steps
Step 1: Data Backup
Transfer and back up all important data including recorded videos and configuration files from the camera to external storage devices such as computers or mobile hard drives to ensure the integrity of core data.
Step 2: Perform Factory Reset
Access the system settings interface of the SLAM XCAM camera, locate the Factory Data Reset option, confirm the operation, and wait for the system to complete the reset process automatically.
Step 3: Reboot and Verify Results
The camera will automatically reboot after the reset is completed. After rebooting, check the device storage status. The system storage occupancy will return to the factory standard normal level, and all temporary storage space occupied by the occasional anomaly will be fully released, which completely resolves the issue.
